Find More Sizes Of That Image On Google Images

If you search for an image on Google Image Search and then mouse over the result, Google will let you find “more sizes” of that image. For example, I searched for [cow] and hovered my mouse over the first result. As you can see, there is a link to “more sizes” for that *** Read the full post by clicking on the headline above ***

Google’s International Filter Loosened Up?

A WebmasterWorld thread has several webmasters and SEOs claiming a huge increase in traffic to their country specific web sites. The first example given was a site that primarily targets Australia and has done well in Google Australia is now receiving a ton of traffic from other Google properties. He said he has seen an uptick in traffic referrers: US up by 120% UK by 90% India by 380% Brazil by 360% WebmasterWorld administrator, Tedster, confirmed these findings with his own web site properties. Tedster said, "I'm seeing this effect too. Something has definitely shifted in the way Google lists out-of-country websites in the search results on country versions of Google." Some are saying this is specific to Google Image Search, while others have not yet specified. Google has primarily wanted country specific sites to rank well in country specific Google properties. So this change is something many are taking notice to

See An Offensive Image On Google? Stay Tuned.

Before the revamped Google Image Search design went live 9 days ago, there was a clear and quick way to report offensive images to Google. In fact, Google released the report offensive image feature just about a year ago, due to complaints. Now, that feature is no longer found in the new design. Google Drops Report Offensive Images From New Image Search

A week or so ago, Google launched the Google Image Search redesign . With that, they left out an important feature, the ability to report offensive images . Yesterday, I spotted a thread at Google Web Search Help with someone who complained that a SafeSearch didn't filter out an image. I was about to tell the guy to use the "report offensive image" feature but then I looked for the feature and it was gone. What I see now: What I saw in the old design: As pointed out in the thread, the feature rarely worked anyway and the better way to remove offensive images was to use the web page removal tool linked to from the SafeSearch page . But that to me is more confusing than the old way.

Picture of New Google Image Search Design

Two days ago, we reported some people noticing a new design for Google Images . More and more people began reporting it but no one was quick enough to snap a screen shot and post it. I did some research and found one person on Twitter who posted a screen capture of the new design. So this looks legit and here are before and after shots. The New Google Image Search Design: The Old (current) Google Image Search Design: What do you think? Forum discussion at Google Web Search Help .

Google Testing New Image Search Interface & Features?

I have no way of confirming this as of right now, but Google may be testing a new interface and feature set for Google Image Search. A Google Web Search Help thread has one searcher talking as if he sees a completely new Google Image search user interface. When I asked for a screen shot, the user said it is no longer available but described what he has seen. When I performed an image search it placed all the images side by side and grouped together. The groups were separated by bars that were titled Page1, Page 2, and so on
